LDWF providing huge opportunity for Red Snapper anglers: 4-Fish Bag Limit

For the first time in years, the recreational red snapper bag limit in Louisiana will double to four fish per person, per day. Additionally, the red snapper season is moving to seven days per week until further notice. The changes will be welcomed by anglers along with marinas and other entities that depend on business from recreational anglers.

Louisiana SPCA Hopes to Reunite Lost Pets after Hurricane Ida

In the days following Hurricane Ida, the Louisiana SPCA has taken in more than 180 animals. While the normal stray-hold period in Plaquemines Parish is five days from the date of intake, the parish is extending this to 10 days from the date of intake due to Hurricane Ida. Due to the volume of stray and abandoned animals being found, it is vital that pet owners report and reclaim missing pets as quickly as possible.
