BCA 4-H students visit restoration project site
Belle Chasse Academy’s 4-H students traveled to the Port Nickel Habitat Restoration Project site. The site is located approximately two miles from the Belle Chasse ferry on the east side of the Mississippi River. Once at the site, the students got a quick safety brief of the area and began to plant approximately 50 cypress and several types of oak trees. After the planting, the students located some of the trees that BCA students planted last year to see how they had grown.
