Members of Belle Chasse Primary Girl Scout Junior Troop 41431 and Daisy Troop 41192 visited the Belle Chasse Courthouse and met with Government Officials: District Attorney Charles Ballay, Judge Michael Clement, Sheriff Lonnie Greco and Clerk of Court Dorothy “Dot” Lundin. The girls are required to complete a badge called Inside Government in which “active citizens should know the basics of government.” The requirements of this badge include exploring the laws that affect them every day, meet people who work in government and learn how to be active in the government. They are also required to complete a Junior First Aid badge to learn how to assist someone who is sick or injured.
