A group of children from Plaquemines Parish had an outing at Port Eads last week that included fishing, education and more!

Plaq. youth spend a day at Port Eads

John Burrell’s High Adventure Company can take you to exotic locales all around the world, from Argentina to Zimbabwe, to fish or hunt. A group of lucky Plaquemines Parish kids were treated to a Burrell trip hosted by none other than the company's namesake, John Burrell himself. While truly exotic, this trip was a little closer to home… Port Eads to be exact. Burrell’s company has managed the parish- owned facility since May after being selected in April by the Port Eads Fishing Refuge (PEFR), a non-profit created to oversee the facility. Part of the Port Eads Fishing Refuge Nonprofit Corporation’s mission is to help promote education for the youth of Plaquemines Parish and those of Louisiana.
