PPSO Congratulates Quarterly Awards Recipients along with Recent Graduates from the Police Academy
Sheriff Gerald A. Turlich Jr.is proud to announce the recipients of the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office (PPSO) Employees of the Quarter from July – September 2018. The program awards an employee in an enforcement position as well as an administrative role for outstanding performance during the quarter. Also this quarter, Sheriff Turlich is honored to institute an additional quarterly award to recognize the dedication and performance of correctional employees assigned to the Plaquemines Parish Detention Center (PPDC).
Sergeant Rogers Landry Jr. was selected as the Enforcement Employee of the Quarter for his sustained performance including several separate fugitive cases that led to arrests. One particular case involved an individual that was wanted for crimes such as Sexual Battery, Distribution of Sexual Material and Obscenity. Sergeant Landry is currently assigned to the District 2 Patrol Division and has been serving Plaquemines Parish since 2005.
