To meet Jewel, Jazzy, or any of the other wonderful pets at the LA/SPCA, you will need to make an appointment to visit their Belle Chasse location (455 F Edward Hebert Blvd). With the outbreak of COVID-19, the LA/SPCA has moved their adoption process to appointment only. D.A. Ballay announces opening of new location

Charles J. Ballay, District Attorney for the Parish of Plaquemines, announced the opening of a new location on July 10. The new location in the Plaquemines Parish Government Complex at 333 F. Edward Hebert Boulevard, #201, in Belle Chasse, is the first standalone state-of the-art office of the District Attorney since a fire destroyed the original office.

As many residents evacuated to escape the path of Hurricane Laura, many of them found temporary refuge in New Orleans. For those able to bring their pets, they struggled to find pet-friendly housing, and some hotels were only pet-friendly for a limited time. Being located in New Orleans, we know just how devastating and stressful hurricanes can be so we knew we had to do anything we could to h elp those in need.
