Ballot is set for Nov. 3 election, 18 Plaquemines candidates unopposed
The ballot for the Nov. 3 election is set and multiple Plaquemines candidates are already planning their terms in office.
Candidates in at least 18 races, assuming no one drops out of the remaining races, were unopposed at the close of election qualifying July 24. Those running unopposed include one Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals judge, both 25th Judicial District Court judges, seven justices of the peace and eight constables.
The race likely to fuel the hottest debate, district attorney, drew four candidates.
