Barry pushes council meeting to Tuesday
Barry may have cleared out Plaquemines’ eastbank and southern westbank last week, but it led to one silver lining: More citizens will be free to attend the rescheduled Parish Council meeting and budget hearings this week.
The newly instituted midyear budget review, the Parish Council meeting and the Plaquemines Port Harbor & Terminal District Commission meeting were all cancelled last week after a bout of heavy rain July 10 and the anticipation of Hurricane Barry’s landfall last weekend. Now all of those meetings are rescheduled for this Tuesday, July 16, starting at 5 p.m. at the Council Chambers in Building 203 at the Plaquemines Parish Government Complex on Hebert Boulevard in Belle Chasse.
