Simon Bonini, Chief Executive Officer of Louisiana LNG Energy, LLC, appeared at the Plaquemines Parish Council meeting last Thursday to inform the parish that his company is moving ahead with plans to build a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) storage facility on the east bank of the Mississippi River. The planned location is near Bohemia, south of Pointe a la Hache. Bonini said that with about two more years needed to complete the permitting process, he hopes to begin construction in 2017, and begin operating in 2020.
