Cormier team appeals single exception in Fourth Circuit

Legal wrangling over the location of Plaquemines Parish President Amos Cormier’s administration is now in two courts at the same time.
Parish Attorney Peter Barbee and his Legal Department have filed an appeal in the Fourth Circuit Court arguing that the Plaquemines Parish Council is not a juridical entity, and therefore should not have been legally allowed to file the mandamus suit seeking to force Cormier’s administration to vacate the Popich Building on Highway 23 for Building 100 at the Plaquemines Government Complex in Belle Chasse.
