Parish President released from COVID-19 Isolation
Plaquemines Parish President Kirk Lepine announced that he is coming out of COVID-19 isolation in a Facebook post on October 6.
“I wanted to thank everyone who has reached out to me while I was out sick,” Lepine said in the post. “I am feeling much better! I will return to work tomorrow after following doctor’s orders while quarantining.”
Lepine’s “return to work” comes exactly 10 days after his COVID-19 diagnosis on the morning of September 28. According to CDC guidelines—which Lepine assured the residents of Plaquemines he’d be following in a press release sent out on the day of his diagnosis—“most” people infected with COVID-19 should isolate for “10 days after symptom onset.”
