Pawdi Gras 2019

About 400 guests and participants and hundreds more spectators lining the streets turned out for the Plaquemines Animal Welfare Association’s Pawdi Gras 2019 on March 10. Doggie police and first responders turned out in their best gear to Bark the Blue, the event’s theme. Donations are still being tallied and will be announced at the PAWS board meeting March 21, but Board President Tammy Gagliano and Executive Director Tatiana Begault said the event was a huge success. They extended their thanks to master of ceremonies Angela Hill, of WWL fame, and her husband Irwin Marcus, who turns 100 years old this week, along with costume judges and the 25 unique vendors who participated.
