Royal Athletics brings NCA National Title home to Belle Chasse
The Royal Jewels Senior Level 4 cheer team from Royal Athletics in Belle Chasse claimed a national championship at NCA All-Star Nationals this month in Dallas.
The competition, which ran March 1-3, attracted 1,600 teams and nearly 50,000 cheerleaders. In addition to the Jewels earning a national title, the Junior Level 2 Royal Splendor and Junior Level 3 Royal Dynasty each finished fourth in their respective divisions, meaning all three Royal teams ranked in the Top 5 in the nation in their divisions. This is the first NCA title for Head Coach Milicent Roussell’s gym, but she has also coached Belle Chasse High School’s cheer team to multiple national titles.
