Sprawling argument leads council meeting

The Plaquemines Parish Government fought in front of company at the April 26 parish council meeting.

Representatives from WGNO were on hand to clear up lingering questions regarding the network’s scheduled May 2 broadcast from the parking lot of the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office, which will broadcast live from an employee appreciation event and blood drive in Belle Chasse. At the April 12 council meeting, council members asked Plaquemines President Amos Cormier III for specifics on the event, but were advised not to discuss the matter since it wasn’t included on the agenda, which led to some spicy exchanges.
