Timothy “Blimp” Cheramie

Venice native stars in Discovery Channel show

By Alex Galbraith
Venice shrimper Timothy “Blimp” Cheramie has spent most of his life in and around the swamps of Southeast Louisiana, and maintains that creatures the likes of which the world has never seen live among the dense vegetation and murky waters. “The swamp is so big that you will never get to see all of it,” Cheramie said. “Anything and everything could be out there.” The Discovery Channel is giving Cheramie a chance to prove it with their new show Beasts Of The Bayou. Beasts follows Cheramie as he attempts to find legendary creatures while, at the same time, scientists work on plausible explanations for the folkloric monsters.
