At their August 11 meeting, the Plaquemines Parish Government (PPG) Council had the opportunity to implement a new “pay plan” that would provide all government employees with a raise. Considering PPG officials constantly complain about how a lack of high wages for employees leads to the government being unable to hire/ retain a big workforce, a vote to provide CONTINUED FROM THE FRONT PAGE a raise for the employees appeared to be an easy choice.
