Editor’s note: Last week’s edition of The Plaquemines Gazette contained the first in a series of articles analyzing the Plaquemines Parish Government’s finances. This is the second article comparing Plaquemines’ 2021 budget to the St. Bernard Parish Government. This first article focused on the cost of each parish’s council and administration. Today’s article will focus on how much each parish spends on legal services, District Attorney’s Offices, Registrar of Voters, and Judicial District Courts.

According to a press release from the Louisiana State Police published on January 4, a car crash that occurred in Plaquemines Parish resulted in the death of one driver involved and led to the hospitalization of the other.
