Tommye Rene’ Williams transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at the age of 61. A native of Port Sulphur, LA, and resident of Terrytown, LA, Tommye was a graduate of Dillard University class of 1980. She was an esteemed educator with the Plaquemines Parish School Board for over 40 years. She was also an active member of the National Teachers Association. Beloved daughter of the late Lawrence and Eva Davis Williams. Devoted sister of Tanya Williams, Jamie (Kevin) Barnes and Timothy (Michelle) Williams. Loving adopted mother of Kyle Q. Franklin I. Cherished aunt of Mallory Barnes, Trayvia and Nicholas Williams. Great aunt of Errol McClenton III and Paisley McClenton. Adopted grandmother of Karmen and Kyle Q. Franklin Jr. God daughter of Mary Ann Bradford. Niece of Joyce Ingraham and Theresa Williams. Relatives and friends of the family, employees of the Plaquemines Parish School Board, St. John the Baptist Head Start, New Orleans La., Neighborhood Walmart, Harvey, LA, and New Orleans EMS attended the Visitation and Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday February 29, 2020 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 455 Ames Blvd, Marrero, LA 70072. Charles Alexander Hunter peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 with his loving family by his side at the age of 76. He was a native of Independence, LA, and a resident of Marrero, LA. Charles was a retired construction worker, and an active member with Marrero- Harvey Senior Center, participating in numerous activities. He also enjoyed spending time with his family during the Christmas Holidays. Beloved father of Cortez (Tracie) Hunter, Sr. Grandfather of Torren Craft, Cortez Hunter, Jr., Mariah Murray, and Deja Hunter. Son of the late Ernest Henderson and Angelina Henderson Brown. Former husband of Carlee Dunlap, also survived by four great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Craig Thomas Girouard was born in Port Sulphur on August 8, 1959, and passed from this life on Friday, February 21, 2020 at the age of 60. He was a resident of Gonzales, worked with Glaze Heating and Air; and as a carpenter; he enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He is preceded in death by his father, Warren P. Girouard. Survivors include his mom Lila Gonzales Girouard; brother and sisterin-law Ted and Lana Girouard; daughter Brook Girouard; grandson Tristan; also survived by other relatives and friends. A visitation and ceremony celebrating the life of Craig T. Girouard was held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church. Elizabeth Anglada Deshotel passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 in Covington, LA at her mother’s home at the age of 63. She was born on March 28, 1956 in Port Sulphur, LA to Barbara Adam Anglada and the late Frank Anglada. Elizabeth is survived by her son Brandon J. Deshotel. She is also survived by sisters Cynthia Smith (Brett), Susan Furlan (Charles), Sharon Amie (Joey), and Barbara Ann Anglada, plus a host of nieces and nephews. Elizabeth is also survived by her best friend Lisa Mitchell, and her former husband Gary J. Deshotel. Liz was a lifelong resident of Kenner and a member of Divine Mercy Catholic Church. She retired after 40 years of service to the St. Bernard Parish School System. “Ms. Liz,” as she was known by her students and work colleagues, spent many years teaching preschool special education before moving into an administrative role supporting preschool and head start classes. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, having dinners with friends, and making frequent visits to her family in St. Bernard and later to Covington after Hurricane Katrina. Above all, she loved her son and supported him in his many endeavors. Relatives and friends attended the Visitation and Funeral Mass at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E 19th Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, February 29, 2020.
