Mary Elizabeth St. Marie Pitts

Mary Elizabeth St. Marie Pitts of Carriere, MS, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at the age of 66. A native of Port Sulphur, LA, she was a Homemaker and a member of Resurrection Life Worship Center. Mary was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, and spending time with all of them. She was preceded in death by her parents, Blaze Eugene St. Marie and Lydia Ozenne St. Marie; and her sister, Martha Jeanette LaGarde. Left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband, Danny Harrill Pitts; her daughters, Heidi (Nathan) Bellelo and Stacey (Benjiman, Sr.) Bellelo; seven grandchildren, Zachary Evans, Olivia Bellelo, Hannah Fitzgerald, Carlie Fitzgerald, Benjiman Bellelo, Jr., Evan Bellelo, and Daniel Bellelo; her brothers, Eugene (Margaret) St. Marie, Blaise (Teal) St. Marie, and Francis John St. Marie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary completed her journey here on Earth on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. She went on to Heaven to be forever with her Beloved Savior, Jesus Christ. Though our hearts are so broken because we cannot be with her now, we will see her again. Picture her now, dancing before her Lord with her little hands lifted in honor to the One she loved with all her being, her precious Savior, Jesus Christ. One did not have to be around her long at all to know what meant the most in this world to her... her mighty God, husband, children, grandchildren, family and lifetime of friends. Her home with her husband, Danny Pitts, was a haven of hope and a safe place. Over the years, many troubled souls were led to Jesus and given hope as she willingly opened her heart and her home to all. Her exuberant joy and laughter was contagious, and her beautiful smile would light up any room. She exuded peace, she ministered love and hope no matter the circumstance. Our hearts are overwhelmed because we miss her presence, but we will cherish the memories of the joy that she brought and still brings as we remember all the love she so willingly gave. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, July 25, 2020 at The Jeffcoat House in Carriere, MS. Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
