Ralph S. Ferranto
Ralph S. Ferranto, of Slidell, LA, passed away at the age of 85 on Friday, March 20, 2015. A native of San Antonio, TX, he was a retired Chief Deputy Sheriff from Plaquemines Parish and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Ralph served in the US Army during the Korean War. Ralph was a member of Knights of Columbus Oscar J. Gelpi Council #6872. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raphael Ferranto and Agnes LaFrance Ferranto. Survivors include his loving wife of over 48 wonderful years, Beryl Falgout Ferranto; three sons, Scottie M. Vinson Jr., Terry E. Vinson, Sandy J. Vinson; daughter, Christy V. Lyons and husband Michael; six grandchildren, Brandon, Jessica, Michael-Scott and Zachary Vinson, Drew and Dustin Lyons; three great-grandchildren, Kayden Vinson, Kelsey Kokinos, and Colton Vinson. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Joseph Hospice for the love and care given to their father during his time of need. They showed exceptional devotion and caring to their family above and beyond that of patient and staff. A visitation and mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Burial at Southeast Lousiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell, LA.
