Council Discusses Salt Water Intrusion Event at Latest Meeting

It was announced at the June 22 Plaquemines Parish council meeting that president Keith Hinkley has declared a state of emergency in the parish due to another “salt water wedge” moving up the Mississippi River into the parish drinking water.
