Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agents cited two men for alleged commercial fishing violations in Plaquemines Parish on July 16. Agents cited Dean Ancalade, 40, and Jacob Landry, 28, both of Venice, for taking commercial fish without a commercial fishing license.

Mandeville Man Cited for Charter Guide Violations in Plaquemines

Agents cited Rene Luminais, 37, for failing to have an LDWF charter guide license and failing to possess a charter recreational offshore landing permit (ROLP).

Port Holds Mid-Year 2023 Budget Review

The Plaquemines Port Harbor & Terminal District (PPHTD) held its mid-year budget review on Thursday, July 20, giving commissioners and interested parish residents the chance to hear an overview of the port’s revenues and expenditures and how they compare to the original adopted 2023 budget. Audit of EMS Department Reveals Possible Payroll Fraud
