Agents cited Rene Luminais, 37, for failing to have an LDWF charter guide license and failing to possess a charter recreational offshore landing permit (ROLP).

The Plaquemines Port Harbor & Terminal District (PPHTD) held its mid-year budget review on Thursday, July 20, giving commissioners and interested parish residents the chance to hear an overview of the port’s revenues and expenditures and how they compare to the original adopted 2023 budget. But, of the few residents who attended the meeting in the crowd, none of them were satisfied with the presentation given by the port.
At the latest Plaquemines Parish audit committee meeting, held on Thursday, July 13, members of the committee reviewed an audit of the Emergency Medical Service (EMS) department, revealing that there was highrisk of payroll fraud occurring within the department under the previous parish government’s administration.
