Boothville-Venice Elementary School is excited to share their students who met their Accelerated Reader (AR) goal for the first nine weeks of the 2020 school year. Students achieving their reading goal have their pictures displayed on the AR Superstar Wall of Fame. They also received a big shout out on the morning show from Principal Prout. During the first nine weeks, 20 students met their AR goal and Boothville-Venice Elementary read a total of 2,286,424 words! We’re looking forward to sharing even more goal achievers next nine weeks. “I promise to love God, cherish my family, honor my country, and serve in my community.” This is the oath for the American Heritage Girls, a Christ-centered scouting program for girls ages 5 -18. The various units within the troop are: Pathfinders (ages 5-6), Tenderhearts (ages 6-9), Explorers (ages 9-12), Pioneers(ages 12-14), and Patriots (ages 14-18). This organization was founded in 1995, has troops in all 50 states and is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Local Troop 1412 is sponsored by Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
