Plaquemines Parish Special Olympics Team Participates in State Summer Games

Plaquemines Parish Special Olympics attended the State Summer Games May 22-24 at Southeastern Louisiana University. Athletes from across Louisiana and Mississippi participated. Twenty eight athletes represented Plaquemines Parish in track & field, pickleball, and bocce.

Plaquemines Parish Special Olympics kicked o swimming at the YMCA in Belle Chasse. Athletes practice weekly and will participate in Regionals on August 15th in Cuto, LA. The State Meet will take place September 20th at UNO.
