4-H Cookery Contest Brings Out Hundreds of Young Chefs for Annual Competition

Plaquemines 4-H Club had a busy month in December, as members competed in the annual Parish Culinary Arts Cookery Contest and the Parish Livestock Show. The Cookery Contest at the Port Sulphur YMCA is an expected 4-H tradition and a consistent favorite, especially among local judges.

BCHS Cheer Wacky Winter Wonderland Camp Belle Chasse High Cheer is hosting a Wacky Winter Wonderland Camp on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the BCHS Gym. The event is for ages 3-13, with activities including: arts & crafts, games, s’mores, and a hot chocolate bar.
