Growing Pains and Growing Pride: The Community's Take on the New BCHSOn December 16, 2025, the Plaquemines Parish School Board announced on their Facebook that they had completed the purchase of fifty-four acres of land that will one day be the home of Belle Chasse High School.

Boothville-Venice Elementary Announces January Students of the Month

The following students were named January Student of the Month for meeting the School Wide Behavior Expectations~ Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe all month long, a presentation was made in their honor on January 28, 2026 in the school's gym.

Plaquemines Parish Holds Community Conversations for Residents

The Plaquemines Parish Government hosted three Community Conversations meetings. They were held in Buras, Belle Chasse, and Braithwaite, and the event offered parish residents a relaxed setting to speak with various parish officials and agencies about local projects and programs.

Beta Sigma Phi Members Recycle 171 Pounds of Pull-Tabs for Ronald McDonald House

Mabel Thibodeaux (R) of Belle Chasse and Anita Sutherland (L) of Algiers, members of Preceptor Alpha Beta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority, recently recycled 171 pounds of aluminum pull tabs for the Ronald McDonald House.
