As the country celebrates its 250th anniversary, a series of nationwide events are being put on to commemorate the occasion. One of these events officially kicked-off in the New Orleans Metro Region when numerous tall ships (large traditional sail boats) and military vessels gathered alongside the city in the Mississippi River to start Sail 250.
