Empire Native Wins National Oyster Festival Shucking Competition

Gallet will travel to Ireland in September 2023 to compete in the World Oyster Opening Championships.
The St. Mary’s County Fairgrounds in Leonardtown, Maryland, has been the home of the United States Oyster Festival for the last 53 years, hosting oyster lovers and competitors from all over the country. This year’s festival happened on October 15 and 16.
