Rhonda Scarabin Ragas passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at the age of 67, at her home in Houma, LA. She was a native of Buras, LA. Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents Earl S. Scarabin Sr. and Leodille Bernadette Zerinique Scarabin, her siblings Donald “Butsie” Scarabin, Lorainne Jenkins, Cecilia Fitzgerald, Earline Wright, Earl Scarabin Jr., Susan Buras, Kenneth Scarabin and her husband from her first marriage Charles “Baldy” Marrill. She is survived by her husband Richard “Beans” Ragas, her daughter Leah Morrill Ledet (Tim Jr.), her grandchildren Myra, Mazzie and Sage Ledet, her siblings Brian Scarabin (Sue), Marla Landry (Clyde) and Cathy Mertz. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Christian memorial will be held at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Port Sulphur on August 16, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Rhonda’s memorial will be preceded over by Father Laurence Murori.
