Larry Neil (Daddy Dog) Buras, Sr. at the age of 86 years old, departed his life Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Ochsner Hospital. He was a lifelong native of Plaquemines Parish, LA. The beloved husband of Carolyn Adolph Bergeron and best friend and companion. Devoted father of Larry Neil Buras, Jr. (deceased), Dr. Sharm’El Buras Gisclair (Jonathan), Elizabeth Buras Salamone (Eric), Grandfather of Arianne Gainey Jackson, (Corey), Gabriel, Cherie, Ella, Lilly, Isabel, Great grandfather of Clara Anne Callianne. Also, his best friend Randy McCloskey. Preceded in death by his parents: Angus Joseph Buras, Sr. and mother Elizabeth Antha Howze Buras, brother Angus Joseph Buras Jr. (Martha), Cecil Allen Buras (Vivian) Paul Jurner Buras, Sr. He is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and devoted friends. Larry was in business for fifty years, owner of Delta Ice and Refrigeration, he invented the snow block for snowball machines. He loved fishing, dancing, and going to Cozumel with a host of friends. He was a lifelong Saints fan. In his later years he enjoyed going to the Gulf Coast to Island View Casino. In lieu in flowers, donate to your favorite charity.
