Students from Three Local High Schools Participate in Annual We Work the Waterways Event

On October 1, around 160 juniors from South Plaquemines High School , Phoenix High School , and Belle Chasse High School participated in We Work the Waterways at the Empire Safe Harbor.

Plaquemines Historical Association Meeting The Plaquemines Historical Association will meet at the Belle Chasse American Legion Hall, 104 Hunt Street, at 6:30 p.m. The guest speaker is Joyce A Miller, Historian for the Louisiana State Museum.

Tilt is a one-year-old handsome cat looking for his fur-ever home! Tilt is a handsome kitty with a big heart who’s still adjusting to all the changes in his life. He was originally a stray but quickly learned the comforts of a home.

Sheriff Turlich Joins Seniors for Safety-Focused SALT Seminar

On August 20, Sheriff Jerry Turlich gathered with the senior citizens of Plaquemines Parish at PPG Multi-Purpose Pavilion in Belle Chasse for the Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (SALT) seminar!
