On the morning of October 17, the Plaquemines Parish hosted its annual Senior Games event at the Plaquemines Council on Aging. Sponsored every year by the Mississippi River Bank, this event saw participating seniors enjoy a walking race, cornhole, shuffleboard, and other activities during the day.
