PMC to Host Hurricane Prep Event on June 23

• Nunez Community College in Chalmette has named 147 students to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2022 semester. The following students from Belle Chasse earned a 3.5 or better GPA while completing at least 12 hours of instruction: Thomas Boudreaux, Audrie Jones, Cassie Rocha and Kent Rocha.

IN THE GARDEN: Creole Tomato Time

One of my favorite vegetables is again in abundance. This morning I made a BLT for breakfast and simmered some tomato and hot pepper salsa with some herbs from the garden and canned it up in mason jars for use later. My windowsill is crowded with Creole tomatoes in various stages of coloring up.
