Priscilla Catherine Duplessis Brumfield, better known as 'Catherine or Cathy', departed this life on Thursday December 18, 2025 at Ochsner Hospital Main Campus. She was 78 years old and a resident of Marrero LA. She was born in Davant LA. on November 24, 1947 to the late Alix and Marguerite C. Duplessis. Devoted wife of the late Maurice Brumfield. Beloved mother of Wendy P. Sterling (Byron Sr.). Loving grandmother of Byron Jr. and Izayah Nyjil Sterling. Sister of Patricia Morris (Elias Deceased), Veronica Shafer (Myron), Gabriel Duplessis (Letia), Monica Couvertier (Robert), Marcia Lightell (Leonard), and Alex Duplessis (Lisa). She is also survived by a devoted niece Alexis Duplessis, as well as other several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Tuesday January 6, 2026 at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church located at 455 Ames Blvd., Marrero LA. 70072.
