Over 1,500 families were served at an emergency response food distribution on Monday, Sept. 6 at the Belle Chasse YMCA. The YMCA credited their staff, volunteers, the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office, the Plaquemines Parish Government and Second Harvest Food Bank for making the emergency response event a success. Domino’s Pizza provided food for the volunteers after a long day of work. The YMCA extends thanks and gratitude to all for their efforts in a time of need.
