A fundraiser organized for Nicholas Wood, the Spanish teacher and Band Director at Phoenix High School, on August 27, was a huge success. Jambalaya and fish dinners were sold along with donations.
Mr. Wood was involved in a car accident recently in Belle Chasse that left him in critical condition. He is still hospitalized and fighting to get better.
