On Saturday, May 3, Plaquemines Parish voters took to the polls to vote on a sales and use tax increase for the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff ’s Office (PPSO). Once all the votes had been counted, the results showed that the majority of parish voters (who showed up at the polls on May 3) supported the tax increase.In total, there was an unofficial turnout of 20.9 percent (or 2,985 voters)...
