MORE PHOTOS ON PAGE 9 Family Gras is an event where families come out and enjoy a parade, food, and great music. This year the entertainment was provided by the 'Street LYFE Band' and DJ Slick504. Despite a delayed start due to the heavy traffic situation at the Belle Chasse ferry landing, the parade rolled up Highway 15 to the Davant Community Park with many citizens enjoying the parade. The parade featured the Phoenix High School dance team, customized floats, a party bus, antique cars, horses, and most important, jubilant parade participants. The marvel crew and float created a big smile on many kids' faces throughout the parade.
With the pandemic and COVID-19 no longer in existence, Family Gras 2023 was in full stride and was a huge success. Approximately 3000 people or more were in attendance making this year's event one of the biggest throughout the years. This year's event exceeded our expectations and the beautiful weather was a significant factor. Family Gras 2023 occurred on Sunday, February 19 on a beautiful day...
