Much like Plaquemines Parish itself, the condition of the Plaquemines school district’s infrastructure following Hurricane Ida varied by region. While superintendent Denis Rousselle noted there was at least some damage to every school throughout the district, certain schools—such as Belle Chasse High School—escaped with minimal impacts when compared to schools in the southern end of the parish.
