    On May 31, 2022, while attempting to stop two four-wheelers that were being operated in a reckless manner, Plaquemines Parish Sheriff ’s Office (PPSO) Lieutenant, Edmund Fisher, was struck by a four-wheeler causing severe injuries which resulted in the amputation of his right leg.
