On the afternoon of thursday, December 12, the South Plaquemines High School football team made its way over to the Superdome in downtown New Orleans to compete against the Haynesville High School football team in the Division 4 state championship. Going into the game, Haynesville appeared to have been favored over South Plaquemines to win the championship.
