On March 7, a dedication ceremony was held in Fort Jackson to accept the donation of a “Lafayette Trail Marker” sign from the nonpro organization _e Lafayette Trail. _e sign commemorates the 5,000 mile farewell tour through the United States taken by General Marquis de Lafayette between 1824 and 1825.
