The southbound lanes of Highway 23 through the Belle Chasse Tunnel will be closed on Wednesday, April 27, from 7 p.m. to Thursday, April 28, at 5 a.m. The closure is necessary to allow crews to clean the tunnel. All work is weather permitting.
As an alternate route, motorists can take the Belle Chasse Bridge (Highway 23) in either direction.
