Last Friday afternoon, a Plaquemines Parish jury decided to render a major blow to Louisiana’s economy and future economic growth. The jury said Chevron must pay $745 Million.
The jurors took only four hours to arrive at their decision: $575 Million for land loss, $161 Million for pollution, and $8.6 Million for abandoned equipment.
