At the Plaquemines Parish Port Harbor & Terminal District’s (PPHTD) February 9 meeting, commissioners unanimously approved legislation that allows port administration to efficiently identify issues with the broken-down Pointe a la Hache Ferry ramp and work towards finding a permanent solution.

At the February 9 meeting of the Plaquemines Parish Council council, members unanimously approved a resolution that served a dual purpose: first, it called for an election to be held in Plaquemines on April 29 for a vote on a Hospital Service District (HSD) millage renewal and, second, it changed the process of how millage revenues are handed out by the sheriff’s department.
