Congress re-authorized the so-called Patriot Act last week. The law has created an invasive federal surveillance system that began with lies that undermined the liberty of millions of Americans Did this unconstitutional act begin the movement of the country towards a “Brave New World?” Hardly.

One of the more recent community cookbooks that we have received is also a fairly new community cookbook. In 2023 Les Dames d’Escoffier New York decided to raise money for the chapter in the time-honored way for a group of women – by writing and selling a cookbook.
