On Wednesday, April 23, Plaquemines Parish Government (PPG) o cials made a trip up to Baton Rouge for Plaquemines Day at the Capital. This event, held annually around this time of year, gives local o cials a chance to display what the parish has to o er.

State lawmakers have returned to Baton Rouge for their Regular Fiscal Session which began April 14. Gov Jeff Landry called legislators into a Special Session last year and two-thirds of the Legislature supported his idea to rewrite the constitutional article on state tax policy.
