Erien Delores Scott

Erien, affectionately called “Dee”, began her life journey on December 17, 1949; in Independence, La. Erien was a loving and kind soul who departed this life on June 4, 2026, at Riverbend Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Belle Chasse, La. She was 76 years old. Dee is the daughter of the late Andrew Scott and Emma Jean Taylor. She enjoyed life with her siblings, Ethel, Joe Ann, Barbara, Faye, and Donald. She was blessed to be a mother figure for her niece, Angela Taylor. She worked as a chief in various cities throughout her life before retirement. Dee is preceded in death by her loving parents, Andrew Scott and Emma Jean Taylor; her loving sisters, Ethel McGrew, Joe Ann Willis, and Faye Taylor; her nephew Andrew McGrew; and her beloved daughter, Angela Taylor. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Taylor, and her brother, Pastor Donald C. (Lady Shana) Williams. Nieces: Carla (Vince) Chaney, Sandra (Kenny) Barnes, Shannon (David) Hensley, Chasity (late Willie) Manning, Joyana Williams, Asia Nay (Christian) Magee, and Markia Meyers. Nephews: Derrick (Eureka) Taylor, Anthony Taylor, and Michael (Kianna) Williams. She is also survived by a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of life services on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Jesus is Lord Evangelist Ministries, located at 1728 Hancock Street, Gretna, LA 70053, at 11 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with Pastor Donald C Williams officiating, and the interment will be private. Funeral planning entrusted to Robinson Family Funeral Home in Belle Chasse, La.
