Anna Mae Diggs-Davis

Anna Mae Diggs-Davis was , born September 2, 1942, in Oakville, Louisiana, entered into eternal rest surrounded by love and faith. She was the daughter of the late Chester Diggs and Elnora King and the widow of Freddie Davis. She was a devoted Registered Nurse who served at Charity Hospital, Meadowcrest Living Center, Christian Home Health, and A Beam of Life. She was a faithful member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and Oakville Missionary Baptist Church, where she served in various ministries. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brothers Chester Diggs, Joseph Diggs, and Alvin King, and her sisters Marva Denet and Yvonne Allen. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Alicia Marie Davis Bailey; grandchildren Vincent (Lakeisha) Davis, Daniell Bailey, Harold Bailey, and Akayla (Rickey) Duronslet; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings Brenda Kinchen, Herman (Karen) King, Larry (Brenda) King, and Andre' (Lisa) King; sisters-in-law Linda Davis, Lola Davis, and Elaine Davis; and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church 1000 Walkertown Way, Marrero LA. Visitation is from 8:00 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. ONLY, service is at 10:00 a.m. Pastor T.J. Brown Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at McDonoughville Cemetery, Gretna, Louisiana. Funeral planning entrusted to Robinson Family Funeral Home.
