Judy A. Petkovich, a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of 65 years to Ernest Petkovich. Daughter of the late Leon Ancalade and Eva Forbes Ancalade. Loving and devoted mother of Ernest P. Petkovich (Deidra). Loving grandmother of Kelli Ott (DJ) and Kalie Petkovich. Loving great grandmother of Sutton Ott and Sawyer Joy Ott. Sister of the late Lionel Ancalade and Leon A. Ancalade. Judy is also survived by many nieces and nieces. Judy was a lifelong resident of Buras, Louisiana. She was a custodian worker for Buras High School for 25 years and a hostess for Mothe Funeral Home for 20 years. She loved people and loved to cook. Everyone loved her cakes and her jambalaya. She was a devout Catholic. She served on the Our Lady of Good Harbor Ladies Altar Society and was a Eucharistic Minister for Our Lady of Good Harbor Catholic Church and St. Patrick Catholic Church. She and her husband Ernest loved going to all festivals and they both loved to dance. The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to the staff of Riverbend Nursing Home and to Harmony Hospice for their care and love given to Judy. Family and friends attended the visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Sunday, September 19, 2021 and again on Monday, September 20, 2021 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Hwy. 23, Port Sulphur, LA; followed by a funeral mass.
