Clifford Wendell Horn

SFC (Retired) Clifford Wendell Horn of Long Beach, MS, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021 in Prattville, AL, at the age of 56. He was born on April 10, 1965 in Bayou La Batre, AL, to Richard L. Horn and Madge E. Collins Horn. He was a native of Buras, LA and a longtime resident of Gulf Shores, AL and Picayune, MS. SFC Horn retired from the United States Army in 2011. While serving his country he participated in Operation Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He received the Bronze Star Medal, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal (8th Award) Army Good Conduct Medal (3rd Award), Global War on Terrorism, Expeditionary Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Ribbon (3rd Award), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd Award), Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/M Device, Combat Infantry Badge, Expert Infantry Badge, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Basic Aviation Badge, and Parachutist Badge. He was a Mason, a Shriner, and was the Vice-President of the Infidel Motorcycle Club, Gulf Coast Chapter. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard L. Horn; and a sister, Tina R. Richard. He is survived by his wife Nancy Horn; his son Dakota Horn; and his mother Madge E. Horn. Relatives and friends of the family attended a visitation on Sunday, October 17, 2021 followed by a memorial service held Monday, October 18, 2021 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th St., Gulfport, MS.
